SOUTH AFRICA, April 22, 2009. A delegation lead by the Defense Minister of South Africa, H. E. Mr. Charles Nqakula will represent South Africa at the upcoming NAM Ministerial Meeting to be held in Havana from April 27th to 30th.

South Africa, as an active member of the Non Aligned Movement and one of the former Chair of NAM, attributes great importance to the upcoming meeting in Havana. The meeting will be an important framework to discuss the current international situation, the ongoing global financial and economic crisis, and its negative impact on the world economy; as well as consolidating South-South co-operation and to contribute to the revitalization of the NAM.

The event will serve as preparation for the 15th NAM Summit of Heads of States and Government, which will take place in Sharm el Sheik, Egypt. (Cubaminrex- Embacuba Sudáfrica)
